Bio: 

Johanne Queenton is Associate Professor of strategy and Director of Innovation Management Research Team at the Faculty of Administration at Université de Sherbrooke, since 2005. In her doctoral thesis she studied the Canadian biotechnology industry and more specifically the links between intellectual capital and SMEs performance. Her research interests are in this area and also in the fields of strategic management of innovation, innovation audit, patenting behaviour, strategic alliances, innovation processes, product development, business models innovation, academic entrepreneurship and open innovation in SMEs in the manufacturing and service sectors.

Johanne was a key member of the Canadian team that examined the innovation management practices of small firms and that led to the publishing of the book, Strategic Innovation in Small Firms: An international analysis of innovation and strategic decision making in small to medium enterprises, Edward Elgar, Cheltenham UK, Northampton, MA, USA. Mazzarol, T.W., and Reboud, S. (Eds) (2011).
